Then as the wood was having different finishes applied, he collected some bottle tops from a local pub ....
Then sat in the sun making holes in each one!
Some had four holes and will be joined together with wire!

Is it something that a morris dancer jiggles about ? Actually it may not be a morris dancer but I can picture similar dancers jiggling sticks about.
Am I close ?
As I pick my mind up out of the gutter, I agree, it must be something that Morris dancers use..
