Monkey Business on the Beach ....

Peanut the monkey on Preston beach, with Weymouth over his shoulder ...

Peanut, Portland, and Matty's hat!

I'll just have a sit here while the children play ...

Ohhh, thank you children, a lovely stone CAKE to eat!

Peanut also gets a good view from this boat, on the shore ...

Peanut the Money has been created for us by the lovely Karla, aka the Itsy Bitsy Spider ...

We Also love FREE HUGS!

many of you know how much me and my children love this video!

so we got busy with some card and some black crayons - Matty spent a long time doing some careful colouring ...

and Daisy did all this lettering herself ... nice and big isn't it ?

Mary eats as the girls display their hard work and talk about what they might do ...

FREE HUGS!

then we got together with our friends, and made this ...

Ground Works .... Watching Cement Dry ....

Day 10 - some star glazing .... Ben at work ...

Day 11 - Once the rotting old arched door was removed, the space really started to open up ... don't get me wrong, it was lovely and I do feel a bit bad about ripping it out, but it would have needed a lot of TLC, and we are looking forward to the extra space!

i see my coat hooks came in very handy during the work ... here is Ashleigh ...

here we are inside the porch, lots of men on site today, including a sparky and lots of veiws of yellow underpants ... I didn't catch the sparky, and I have spared you the underpants!

here is Mark back again, to drink some tea and ... erm ... :-)

and Ashleigh again, doing some work ...

Day 12 - Ben's long day ...

Remember my poor old front door? This very cold winter had really upset it, and the duct tape was to keep out the cold wind. And this door had always been protected by the outer, porch door!

Old Door, no more ... I like how the girls are all shorter than the new arched window ... hmmm, memories of BBC's Playschool!

New door from the porch side ... we like red!

Day 14 - Daisy was pleased to see Jamie back, along with Mike, to lay some slabs and poor my new porch floor ...
So now, im just watching cement dry, and longing to fill the space with wellies!

birthday-boy-book-bag ....

made with lots of texture and fun, for a cool three year old boy with downs syndrome that we know...

Happy Birthday Cat!

so who is the mouse going to live with?
i popped over to random.org with a list of names and i got ITSTBITSYSPIDER!
which just makes me think of carly simon singing live with a choir of children...

and very aptly, Karla the ITSTBITSYSPIDER left me a nice birthday greeting over on the
Plush Team Blog.

the art work is a birthday collage made for me by dear Daisy!

Ground Works .... Windows all in, Porch being Erected ....

Day 6 ...
Matty and Daisy supervise Mark and Daniel in the dining room ...

during the bank holiday weekend I managed a few DIY tasks - one was painting some more of the dining room walls white ...

Its bin day, and not much room to squeeze past the van on the driveway ... my house its looking very smart, and my rooms are quieter ...

who needs to find things to do, when there are men-at-work to watch ...

I am loving my reflection, but only because it shows I have very clean windows!

this is not really a hat, its one of those shoe covers, designed to keep the mud from customers homes. The boys said that they have been told to wear these, instead of removing shoes, because their feet smell too much!

Day 9 ... Ben comes to erect the frame-and-window part of the porch ... the windows have been beautifully finished on the outside, even matching in some cement to make the lintels look pretty. SOME window companies would have applied more plastic ...

Look, he's throwing it up - it even has a door!

the bricks look nice too ... looks like Ben needs a Wessex FM mug next to the spirit level ...

coffee time ...

The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane .... Rabbit Doll Finished ...

if we could have kept him, this would be daisy's new friend ... she explained how it would be getting posted to America, and reassured our rabbit-friend!

matty admired edward's dapper clothing ...

our neighbours boxer played the part of rosie in the miraculous journey or edward tulane ... but she didn't wee on the table cloth!

edward's frock coat and trousers, green plaid, and as close to the book as i could make the coat with its frills ...

the big rabbit as he would sit, in the dining room chair waiting for Abilene to come home from school ...

his coat is lined and the pattern even ties in with the green of his trousers ...

edward listening to pellegrina's bedtime story ...

he thought himself a most handsome rabbit, indeed!
and i have to add - so do i!

and now edward is far away from me ... he has a job to do ...
