My mum's dad was a small man called Richard. He was so small that in fact I could quite possibly have looked down on him. This blog post is not about him however, but about this item of neck wear that I made in one afternoon for a 40th birthday party in the evening of the same day! If anyone is interested I will show you how to make one?

The miraculous adventures of edwards tulane!
Three little Edward Tulanes recently left my hands ... these are the scaled down, of 'half size - when i make full sized Edwards they can sit in my dining chairs with their ears above the table cloth, and listen to the chit chat of dinner!
they all grow a different character as I work with them ...
And often I am a little sad to see them go, but of course whisper good things in their furry ears and send them on their way!

Nounours, a special dog portrait!
This beautiful lady was really good fun to draw, with her shading and cuddly ruff of fur! Her owner was so pleased when the portrait arrived that I got a special surprise gift by return!

This is what i did with 200 squares from my wonderful stash!
It made a rather heart warming, colourful throw!

rabbit and cat family ceramics!
those cute critters were finished and have left my hands - but not before they had a nice play in the dolls house! The terracotta body was glazed in off white, then i used those low fire paints to add the clothes and features!
The cat family was fun, i am calling in the young son Kevin!

Viral ...
Sadly and frustratingly I have been poorly for some time, with a nasty virus and a chest infection on top ... still not out of the woods, I pulled out some squares and played with the arrangement of colours ...
I have chosen what I felt were mostly autumnal shades, and this is a two sided project in 8-inch squares!
The piece is still rather colourful and cheerful, esp since I've not been very creative recently!
