Sammy's Special Skully!

My friend Sammy was sad to find her hat mysteriously unraveled one day ...

In desperation she brought it to The Raggy Rat because sometimes miracles can be performed ....

I'm not a knitter but I knew I would have to pick up all of these stitches, gather them together and attach the bobble more firmly once again. I turned the hat inside out and used double embroidery thread. That would be 12 strands then!

Finally, it's done and looks like a hat again! It's very satisfying fixing broken things and sometimes broken hearts. And yes, I really cannot knit. I have tried.  People have been cross with me. I can still fix your knitted hat though!

I will be taking these to the Dorset Womens Day 2012 -Saturday 28th April, where I will have a stall and also be running a sock-monkey workshop too!

New Cardigans!

Now knitting may not be her usual project, but my dear friend from soggibottom made a super job of these! About two years ago that is, when Artwey was in it's infancy. And my girls were much smaller. But good things come to those who wait, and children grow in front of our very eyes!

I just cannot knit. I have tried!

Bear got a new face ...

He came from a loft, in a stash of crafting goodies, and he had no face, so i gave him one. We think it suits him, and he joins in our games!

swap dogs arrived !

our parcel from http://www.uniqart.blogspot.com/ arrived, how exciting. i swapped a giraffe for these little knitted dogs. i will never be able to knit, i cant knit scarf kits aimed at 7 year olds !



just the right size for little hands, mary-baby won't get hers untill she is no longer a suck-and-chew monster ...

caroline even gave us a basket that they can all sleep in together, so that was a nice surprise, i did think it was a hat at first, but only for a second, honest!
