Eye-eye!

I decided that my red fish needed some eyes, so I used these lovely wooden buttons, from a recycled garment!

Working on another of my fun goat dolls, who like to wear steam punk waistcoats with cogs for buttons...

a collaboration ....

These lovely plastic buttons were given to daisy by one of our home ed friends, Mya. Daisy asked me for some fabric and i showed her how to sew on buttons with a few stitches in one place. I think she did really well!

Bear got a new face ...

He came from a loft, in a stash of crafting goodies, and he had no face, so i gave him one. We think it suits him, and he joins in our games!

juicy buttons on a lovely old plate ....

it was my grandma's plate, and ther buttons are a lovely mix of plastic glass and metal. i am applying them to some big letters to go into the next portland arts centre exhibition ... they must be finished this week ...

another tactile mat has been created ...


i wanted to put bright colours and contrasts in this for some one with poorer sight ...

The Tactile toy just arrived and we ripped open the pack in our eagerness to have a look. It's SO GORGEOUS!

My daughter and I particularly love the purple satin back as that is one of our favourite colours. My husband noticed how that dinky lace pocket is in just the right spot for him Mum to slip her right hand into when the toy is on her lap. The bell is nice, too, just a sweet little tinkle of sound.

And it is so well made both in terms of being sturdy and being elegant and neat. Never in a million years could I have pulled that off.

I'll try to get a photo of the mother in law with it in the home and e-mail it to you. We were going to visit her today but it's snowing heavily there so we didn't go. Not sure if we will make it before Christmas now..."

new button jointed rats ....

based on 'mrs pack rat' who i made when i first joined the etsy plush team, i have created this cheerful bunch to come with me to artwey open studios ... and beyond !

they sat and waited a few days for me to root out buttons and sew on all their limbs ... "hey, thats MY left leg, please!"
