But then some one breaks a leg!
Following the making of Spirit II, there's a casualty. Too much galloping. So out comes the Araldite, my old Dad's favourite, and the little foal spends an over night wearing blue-tac hooves!

Then Mary, who would like to remind us that she is nearly four, learns to climb on the rocking horse all by herself! And is pleased. If still slightly nervous of the thing!

I was drowning in chores, so I got Daisy to fill in a few forms for me - that ought to do just nicely!

And I completed a couple of Rat Bags, and made a nice cup of tea!

Hmmm, shall I give that chair a paint job, perhaps? xxx

Happy Easter - Happy Birthday!
some savoury snacks to take with us! Mind you i did not get a photo of Sarah's lovely cake before we all devoured it!

Love Thy Sisters - yes, they do!

Hard work, all this worshipping? Soaking!

HeHe - no matter where you are, bottoms are always funny!

New Cardigans!
Now knitting may not be her usual project, but my dear friend from soggibottom made a super job of these! About two years ago that is, when Artwey was in it's infancy. And my girls were much smaller. But good things come to those who wait, and children grow in front of our very eyes!
I just cannot knit. I have tried!

New fabric and Paper people!
I bought this lovely fabric on line ... it looks slightly more subtle in real life ... I think it will make beautiful barn owls!

Gigi brough some cut-outs to the last HE meeting in Abbotsbury, and Daisy and Matty selected one each, which they drew on at the hall. They also made them anatomically correct!

Daisy's had the most detail, now tastefully covered up with magazine pages and some classy bows!

Matty selected some pre-cut clothes for her paper person, and added a design of her own to the front of the jacket ...

on the back veiw of Matty's doll you can still see a useful body part!

All of Us Girls and a Rabbit ....
Mary took a shine to the furry topknot belonging to the rat head i am making ...

Daisy with a huge box of cuttings to glue-down ...

Matty busy with her paint box ...

Edward Tulane left our hands this week, despite there still being doubts about our air-space, but there he is, gone on his way! I do miss him. He was such a character and really quite good looking too ...

I went shopping on Etsy and my headband arrived promptly. Its very hard to photograph your self featuring your new head gear, but i gave it my best shot!

funny girls ...
i hate using the flash, and grabbed these shots of the girls making silly faces at daddy. i still think they are great pics, and the blurs make me laugh and seem to work, esp. when one girl is sitting still!
go on, ask me, how do i get anything done?

slaters, billy-bakers, - what do you call yours?
i think our garden might be missing a few woodlice now, the girls play with them the moment they get outside, and you know how playthings get lost ...
bill over the road calls them billy-bakers, and when i lived in scotland the twins sean and dan called them slaters, and found me some very impressive ones, back when i hated touching them and pretended that i didn't!
the other day daisy saw one that she thought was doing a pooh, and shouted with glee, "he's doing a poooo! he's making compost!"
so, they have been listening when we chat about the garden!
