Making a colourful banner ...WIP

piecing some colourful scraps together into word length strips ...

sewing from the wrong side of the fabric around some hand drawn lettering, then cutting away the excess fabric, the next stage to finish the letters will be a fairly close zig-zag stitch around each letter ...

It's quite long, and also good fun - I have never made a banner before!

Adding the Chapter and verse, with hand embroidery and in a hoop for stability. I usually use this hoop in my sewing machine, for adding texture to owl wings! Gold gel pen was used to trace the lettering from my cartoon.

I hope to have this finished soon!

Delightful Donkeys!

Sandy, Smokey and Rocky are all finished ...

Rocky can now me found in the Plus Team Etsy Shop.

Smokey and Sandy can be visited at St Mary's, Weymouth, from next week. Many of the churches are open as HUBS - cafes and galleries, during the olympics. A little oasis, and much of the work is sea themed!

Nativity time - feeling christmassy?

Well it was a lovely evening when my little girls stepped out for all to see in their mummy-made costumes, so of course I took the camera along as one does at such special times!

Mary did very well despite me not giving her lessons in stairs-and-long-dresses! My favourite grown-up costume was the chicken, what did you like best?
