the spice girls!

i have made my 'hot' piece of work for the portland arts centre's fire and ice exhibition ...

here are my spice girls, shouting out the word !
matty, daisy and funny little mary !
looks like spice is as good as shouting 'cheese' for the camera, anyway !

letters must be arranged - we do like pie!

and next i must make a 'cold' piece of work, but i wont be making ice, and i will use a much subdued pallet, too ...

have a good weekend !

hamster car arrives in rainy california!

looks like claire and the chickenpants have made him very welcome ...
mind you, i didnt realise he was so naughty !

zoom zoom ....

more news about hamster car to follow, in the meantime, my girls have found wheels at portland ymca. these cars are really cool !

a rat's belly full ...

i made the first raggy rat bag in 1998. character bags were a bit of the thing then, and i was asked to make a rat. i was careful to include lots of room, and i did get some good feedback about this at the time.

here is my rat bag, with a belly full ...

i fitted in 2 paperback books, my 'plush team' water bottle, a huge fat, camera and hubby's wallet. there was also room for my phone, but it was busy taking these pictures !

hmm, not much sewing going on around here - but the good news is hamster-car has arrived safe and sound in california, more news on him soon xxx

any day now, hamster car will arrive in the usa ...

cant wait to see what he gets up to with the chickenpants ...
