And now for something square ...

At the end of the year I slipped into The Prayer House to lay out a really big project ....

It fitted into the floor space at the back of all the chairs laid out for Sunday's meeting ....

It also comes in three parts and will make me very happy. Can you guess what I'm making?

Afterwards, all the lose threads were hoovered up and no body knew we had been having fun with 270 8inch squares!

Home work!

A dear friend painted the wood work in my lounge (except for the door) with a fresh lick of white paint, something i had never found the time to get round to! And that gave me the impetus to do a pit of patchwork and collage-ing , covering the walls beside the fireplace with a fun selection of wallpapers torn from sample books ...

I have covered the door in pages from two old bibles! And i bought this sweet wooden sign on ebay!

I am going to be papering the floor too, so watch out for that, and have begun to make a rag run from t-shirts, some of which have great memories!

This fun bunting was a gift, and it looks just perfect in my room. I usually make two-sided bunting myself, but again, have been very busy ... It has been battered by the wind hung on Bedouin tents on Weymouth beach, and has frayed beautifully in places!

Its been a long time since i painted these walls white, over two years, but i will soon have one complete room to enjoy!

And here are two really awesome wedding favours, that look perfect on my sconces! along with some beeswax candles from Europe.

Here is my favourite corner, coming together! That's a bird who has been set free!

alteration, or, what on earth has she done to her living room?

this is the fox that flatters the crow and grabs the cheese, snap!
Daisy and Matty love this fable... i just did this for fun, no good reason at all, apart from perhaps livening up these old walls a bit!

this is the fox and the crow, and a strip of all the alphabet, both large and small letters, oh yes and a bag of lavender from Vicky and phoenix! sorry about the slanty photo, its hard to get a good shot, I'll have to remove the side wall of the house for that...

this is daisy, pointing to P for PETER (our friend), and i can see which letter she is asking about from across the room, where i might be feeding Mary-baby, or sewing...

this is the index for the HUGGLETS bear guide, both daisy and Matty started to point to all the letter headings, ie the letters themselves, saying 'whats that mummy?' and so off we went learning names of some letters. its a little hard to see sometimes which one they are pointing to, and they are so full of questions. now i can suggest they show me the letter on the wall.

Daisy is showing us her teddy magazine. she is good at talking to the camera, and Matty is not at all keen these days, she just wants to look at the pictures on the back screen!

of course i do realise now, than when i say, dont paint on the walls children, i'll have no leg to stand on will i?
