rabbit and cat family ceramics!

those cute critters were finished and have left my hands - but not before they had a nice play in the dolls house! The terracotta body was glazed in off white, then i used those low fire paints to add the clothes and features!

The cat family was fun, i am calling in the young son Kevin!

A spot of fettling ...

Back home from the pottery, I manage to find my very own 'kidney' from university days, and shape a pot while listening to children roll playing and fresh eggs boiling!

after creating this texture, I have to stop! I now need this pot fired, at once!

I can wait, especially since i scored at the charity shop, two pieces of nice woven fabric!

Nice label too - ain't that the truth? :-)

zoo for you!

i thought you might like to look at this wonderful work
a zoo made by children at the new yeovil HEC where i went with steve and the girls on friday ...the vulture and the siver backed gorilla show great use of fursuit fur scraps, and what a great face that bear has ...

next time we go, i will share some information on working with clay so that hopefully we dont have so many injured animals that we found this week! i might also do some sewing, of course !
