Monkey Around ...

This Christmas because they love me so much, Innocent the smoothie guys sent me a smashing pair of socks ... And they don't send them in my size (they once sent me fab orange socks) so i get my crafting on ...

And so on boxing Day was born a fabulous Sock Money, who looked very festive and fitted this Special Hat rather nicely ...

I Instagrammed and Tweeted my new found friend but he does need a name, and perhaps a vocattion? Much love, Cat XXXX

Sock Rabbit

This pink bunny on my lush green lawn makes me smile! I can almost believe spring is on its way. 

She was made from 2 very stretchy socks, no pattern and careful stuffing. She was sent to my friend Helen in hospital far away. 

I'm looking forward to Easter, are you?

Working on two new sock animals...

One of these will appear in my book, and the other one, who knows? Xxx

goat WIP ....

the sneaky eyes of groats really appeal to me. I made these sneaky eyes out of copper wrapped buttons ... this will be a plush-team-challenge-sort-of-goat ...

Edward Tulane has his tail, and some nice, new trousers! ....

now for his frock-coat ...

halloween is over, and it will soon be christmas ...
and nearly all the apples are gone from the tree ...



but never mind
i had my first stab at needle felting, making this animal face for that project i mentioned the other day ...

a new craft project ....

i have two projects on the go at the moment, neither of them are soft toys, but both of them use lovely long fluffy white fuax fur..

here are some WIP pics for one of the projects -
a quick sketch to help me place signiicant features ...



this pattern piece is a strange shape, and here i have fitted a loop of faux suede
fabric with two strong D-rings ...



i have been very carefully scissor sculpting an area in the middle of this piece of fur ... it is secured inside a large embroidery hoop.



these look like ears, of course !
