two new projects!

a home made cabinet i picked up free-cycling on Monday! I have removed the pegs (for cotton reels) and given it a sanding ...

a spice rack from jigsaws I collected on Saturday, I have filled on the holes, and washed in really well - it was greasy and grimy! I will also hang it with mirror plates ...

both items will also be painted!

Today I made a valentine's card ...

After I got the hang of a new-to-me sewing machine, I stitched a fun card!

Matty admired the stitches on the test fabric, and posed for my camera!

I have a mini tripod to use for low light shots, and Daisy wanted to be photographed too, she had to stop rocking in order to not be a smiling blur in the picture, and you can see the concentration. Rather Victorian don't you think?

Today I (re)made - my bed!

And this is cute, really. I designed a patchwork duvet cover for a double sized duvet when I was 16, and then finally got around to making it when I was in my early 20s! It doesn't go on my bed much, as its quite 'warm' but now is a very good time for it!
