WIP - yes, work, on a fursuit commission...!

here is my dining table...

and on it some 'paws' in need of claws, and the pattern pieces cut out of PVC, plus the pattern piece itself... (looks like an arrow)

here are the claws made up ready for attaching to the paws, the cone is the sharp bit of the claws and the rounded end is the nail bed thingy ... the fuzzies daisy and matty looked in the box of WIP and said 'cones.'

here is a thumb claw sewn on and an index finger abandoned mid sew, so i could see to the children, probably the baby ...

and a quick sketch, ideas and questions about the feet of the fursuit ... the feet must be suitable for a mouse who likes to dance!

mary-mary

a long time ago, when i was very very small, i borrowed mary-mary stories from burscough library, more than one time. i loved it and i remembered it when trying to name our baby-to-be this past year ....

recently i ordered this book from the library and it came all the way from exeter after a few week, i found i remembered the images very well from all that time ago, and the stories came back to me as i read them, some of them matty and daisy enjoyed too, and pretened they were reading mary-mary when they sat down with picture books!

the book, by joan g robinson is no longer in print, so i cant get hold of our own copy, i hope the library keeps theirs safe. i know it is dated and cute, but the teddy robinson books are much easier to get hold of, i wonder why?

did any one else meet mary-mary in childhood and think she was great?
her schooled brothers and sisters are a pain, getting grumpy over doing homework and chores, and acting like mary-mary is a big pest!

NUDE chickens ....

not really, that's just they way matty and daisy describe NEW things, they can't seem to hear that word any other way! funny how both of them make similar sounds for the same words, their first word was flower for both of them...

made 2 NUDE chickens, one for our dining room and one for a swap, the brown chicken should be landing in austrailia any time now, and the pinkish chicken is holding open the dining room door, and replaces a heavy cast-iron pig which wasn't at all user friendly, esp with little ones about.

so yes, some sewing got done, and i cut out some fabric the other day to made a small bag for my video camera to afford a bit of protection to it, moslty from the dust in this place!

vince is finnished now so give him a call if you would like him up some scaffolding near YOU...still waiting for mine to be taken down, and the light let in again

a title to make you think i have sewn or painted something cute!

this is the last of my pointing getting done, the bit above the front door, with its lovely arch, and is how i found vince this morning when i went to offer him a green tea. he was very pleased to be offered the green tea and happy for me to take his photo, altho he did keep posing even tho i told him not too ...

and for all you ladies out there, vince is also a fireman, and yes, he was up my scaffolding in shorts ...
